Pasadena Man Charged With Trying to Hit Police Officers with His Car During Wild Pursuit in Montebello

A 37-year-old Pasadena man has been charged with trying to hit police officers with his car during a pursuit over the weekend, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Tom Rojas pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two felony counts of assault upon a peace officer, one felony count each of fleeing a pursuing peace officer’s vehicle while driving recklessly and vandalism causing more than $400 in damage, and one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run driving resulting in property damage.
The charges include allegations that he has prior felony convictions.
