15-year-old driver crashes car into house on Walnut Street in South Bend

SOUTH BEND — A 15-year-old boy remains in the hospital after crashing a car into a house early Monday on South Walnut Street, according to police.
The crash happened after police started, then stopped, a pursuit of the vehicle, according to a news release from the South Bend Police Department.
About 1:43 a.m. Monday, a city police officer attempted a traffic stop of the vehicle for alleged speeding and disregarding a traffic sign at Colfax and LaPorte avenues, according to police.
