Sheriff’s Office: Man speeding 80 in a 35 mph zone strikes police officer with car during chase

HORIZON CITY, Texas – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man accused of striking a Horizon City Police officer with his car following a high-speed chase Sunday night.
Sergio Gonzalez, 25, is charged with Aggravated Assault against a Public Servant.
At approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2019, officers with the Horizon City Police Department attempted to stop Gonzalez, allegedly speeding 80 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone.
