Duluth officer injured, K9 and suspect dead in domestic incident

DULUTH, Minn. — A Duluth police officer was wounded, and a police K-9 and a suspect were fatally shot Sunday night as squads responded to reports of a domestic assault with a weapon
Officers were dispatched just before 6:30 p.m. to a home on the 1000 block of West Skyline Parkway. Squads arrived and quickly located the male suspect inside the residence, then began negotiations with him. After an hour of talks police say the suspect began firing, hitting and wounding one officer. During the volley the struck officer’s K-9 partner Haas was hit and killed by a bullet.
