Dashcam video captures high-speed pursuit in Morrow County involving stolen patrol car

MORROW COUNTY, Ohio — A woman who told law enforcement she had been raped and needed to get away slipped behind the wheel of an Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser and led authorities on a 10-minute high-speed pursuit through Morrow County.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was heard on camera reassuring a distraught woman she was safe moments before she slid behind the wheel of his cruiser and took off.
It happened Saturday morning in the area of County Road 121 and State Route 314. Highway Patrol said the ordeal began in Mansfield where the woman is accused of stealing a pickup truck that was left running at a lumber yard.
